Throughout the year, the Association and our branches hold a number of social events which serve a number of purposes. Not only are they ideal opportunities for our members to mix socially but they are always very enjoyable and they are also an important source of funds to finance our political and campaigning activities. 

One of the more popular events is our Supper Club. This normally meets on the first Friday of each month apart from August at Saxon Hall, Aviation Way, Southend-on-Sea. There is a large car park.
 
We commence at 7 30pm with the meal being served at 8 00pm. This consists of 3 courses plus tea or coffee at a cost of £17 per head. Wine and other drinks may be purchased at the bar. After the meal there is normally a speaker, sometimes our own MP, Mark Francois. We have a variety of speakers including other MPs, our MEP, leading Councillors and some officials from the higher reaches of the Party. Sometimes the speaker is not political, such as representatives from local organisations.
